We Live Until…
Newport Art Museum, 2024
The pieces in We Live Until were made in conversation with patients in hospice care, asking the question: “What responsibility does the artist hold when making paintings with neighbors who will pass away before the painting is complete?” Each painting is shaped in reference to a medical bed, and made with deeply layered organic materials with collage, paint and mixed media.
